The GAP Committee would like to thank Members for the most successful Backpack Drive yet!

This summer GAAR REALTOR® & Affiliate Members donated 516 backpacks and raised an additional $1,747 for the APS Title 1 Project ensuring that hundreds of homeless children will have new backpacks and school supplies when they start school this fall.

Albuquerque Public Schools (APS) Title I Homeless Project provides homeless students both basic services as well as the education that is necessary to avoid poverty as adults.  Local businesses and organizations volunteer in countless ways including collection drives to supply much-needed hygiene products, snacks, backpacks and other items needed.  Click for more on APS Title I Homeless Project.
