The COVID-19 crisis has created additional hardships in the lives of homeless students in our community. Many who seek comfort in shelters or hotels at night are faced with fewer options, and a lack of basic sanitation supplies increases their exposure.

In lieu of the fall Backpack Drive, the GAAR Community Relations Committee is asking REALTORS® and Affiliates for help with monetary donations, which the APS Title 1 Program will then use towards the purchase of hand sanitizer, masks, disinfectants and other supplies needed to help keep these children safe. If you are able to contribute, your help is truly appreciated.

• Donate online: Go to gaar.com and login to your GAAR member portal and look under Notifications and click Donate Now

• Drop-off or mail donations: GAAR, 1635 University Blvd NE, Albuq, NM 87102  (Payable to GAAR Title 1, PLEASE, NO CASH!)

Albuquerque Public Schools Title I Homeless Project provides homeless students with both basic services as well as the education that is necessary to stay in school and to break the cycle of poverty within their family.
