Good Neighbors are REALTORS® and Affiliates that dedicate themselves to volunteer service. They donate gifts, money, and – most importantly – a lot of time to their charity.
Congratulations to Michael Skolnick, one of five GAAR Good Neighbor recipients for 2019. Michael is an integral part of the Del Norte Rotary Club raising thousands of dollars for their non-profit Foundation. Each year, Michael raises an average of $40,000 which has culminated to over $500,000 throughout the years. These funds are then distributed to a variety of local charities throughout Albuquerque. In addition, Michael has volunteered his time to chair the Del Norte Rotary Club Golf Tournament for 23 years! GAAR members are proud to recognize Michael Skolnick as a 2019 Good Neighbor Recipient.
We would like to thank all of our winners and nominees for their work in the community. Please look for upcoming articles about the charitable work and the non-profits they serve.
2019 NAR Good Neighbor Awards
The National Association of REALTORS® is accepting applications for the Good Neighbor Awards from REALTORS® who have made an extraordinary impact through volunteer service. This nationwide program is open to you regardless if you've been nominated or named a GAAR Good Neighbor winner.
Good Neighbor Award winners receive $10,000 grants for their charities, as well as national and local publicity for their cause. Winners will also be flown to the National Association of REALTORS® annual conference where they will receive their award in front of thousands of fellow REALTORS®. Past winners all report that their charity benefited from additional donations and volunteers as a result of the exposure. Learn more about the NAR Good Neighbor Award.
Deadline to apply is Friday, May 10, 2019
