Highlights: 

• the median detached home price rose 6.6 percent to $186,500
• the average detached price increased 6.8 percent to $223,104
• the number of new listings dropped 10.7 percent for single-family detached homes and 6.0 percent for condos, townhomes and other attached homes
• overall inventory of detached homes for sale dropped 22.6 percent to 2,849 listings in February
